Only the foolish believe painting is dead. Put me in a cave and I paint on the walls, put me in a church I paint on your ceiling, give me a canvas and I will bleed beautifully for you.

In our contemporary global age we are exposed to an unprecedented volume and mass of data and imagery, expanding the personification of mankind. I like to turn this data and visual imagery into a tactile reality through paint and materials. By drawing essence from this modern complexity, I am drawn to create a two dimensional singular surfaces into a complex visual language reflecting my imaginative mind. Cloning, transforming, distorting, de-constructing and re-constructing have always been my friends. My brush and my palette are my sword and my shield.

For me, the act of painting is the breath of life itself.
